In the picturesque town of Cernobbio, on the shores of Lake Como, this cooking class offers an authentic journey into Italian culinary tradition. The experience begins with a welcome appetiser featuring bruschetta topped with cherry tomatoes and olives, creamy burrata, a selection of local cold cuts and cheeses, all complemented by a sweet red onion jam.
Participants are then guided through the preparation of two types of risotto: one with perch, a fish native to the lake, and another made with fresh seasonal vegetables. Both recipes showcase the simplicity and depth of Italian cuisine, using ingredients that reflect the local territory and its traditions.
To finish on a sweet note, the class explores some of the region’s most beloved desserts. Depending on the day and preference, the options may include a classic tiramisù made with fresh mascarpone and coffee, the traditional "Miascia" cake prepared with fruit, bread and corn flour, or a rich Caprese cake made with almond flour and dark chocolate.
Local red or white wine is served throughout the meal, along with sparkling options like Franciacorta or Oltrepò Pavese. Still water and Italian coffee complete the experience, making it both delicious and memorable.
