Originally settled on a rocky outcrop for protection during the early Middle Ages, the village was fortified in the 12th century and has preserved much of its medieval character to this day. The walk includes the medieval streets of the old town, the picturesque Place du Planet, and the beautiful Church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption. The tour continues uphill to the famous Jardin Exotique d'Èze (entrance not included), created in 1950 and home to an impressive collection of succulents and exotic plants. From the site of the former castle ruins, enjoy some of the most spectacular panoramic views on the Côte d’Azur, stretching from Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat to the Esterel coastline.
