Follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh and visit 3 of Provence's most famous towns!

Meet your friendly guide in Aix-en-Provence at 9:00 a.m. and begin a full-day excursion through the beautiful landscapes of Provence, traveling comfortably by minibus and enjoying the scenic views along the way.

Your first stop is Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a delightful Provençal town where you’ll have free time to explore. If you visit on a Wednesday, you can stroll through the vibrant open-air market. Nearby, your guide will show you the Roman monuments and Saint-Paul de Mausole, the former hospital where Vincent van Gogh stayed between 1889 and 1890. You may choose to visit the site and see a reconstruction of Van Gogh’s bedroom (ticket not included).

Next, continue to the exceptional hilltop village of Les Baux-de-Provence, a place that has preserved its medieval character. Walk through narrow stone streets, browse local shops, and explore the impressive castle ruins. From the village, admire breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. There is also the possibility to attend the immersive art show at Les Carrières de Lumières (ticket not included).

The tour then proceeds to Arles, where you will follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh and discover the locations that inspired many of his famous paintings from 1888–1889. Arles is also renowned for its Roman heritage, including the amphitheatre, ancient theatre, and the Romanesque Saint-Trophime Church (entrance fees not included). On Saturdays, enjoy free time at the colorful local market.

Return to Aix-en-Provence around 5:30 p.m. with a deeper appreciation of Provence and the places that inspired Vincent van Gogh.
